Hi all,
Short post just to let you know I'll be back. After returning from the National Gathering in New Orleans, and planning our Men's Retreat, I'm still in recover mode. Blessings to you all!

Getting things done!
Did you ever notice that when you are preparing to go away for a time, it seems that we become driven to ensure that everything is in good order and everything that can be done is just that--done!
Preparing for the ELCA National Youth Gathering really has Karen and I in overdrive mode. Paperwork-check....packing--almost....bills paid-check....lawn mowed-check....house cleaned-almost....Community days prep--almost, the list goes on and on. Why is it that no matter how much gets finished, it seems that there is always something else that needs to be done. For us, we will work tomorrow at the church, Friday at home until we go to retreive the daughter at Sequanta as she prepares to be an adult volunteer at the gathering. See, the list goes on!
I really dare say, that for me 'getting things done' is a dream that will only be realized when I enter into the presense of God and meet face to face the one who really got things done. Should I give up? Nope--I'll do what I can to the best of my ability as long as I can possibly do it. God's wonderful grace unto forgiveness is what completes me in my journey and God's spirit inspires, and challanges me to ensure that I will not fall into complacency. Thank God for the things I get done--I pray that you too are getting 'some' things done!

Freedom to...
This week, we celebrate Independence Day. What I hear from many is the overarching theme that our freedoms are slipping away.
Personally, I don't believe that. I believe we are still living in response to what occurred on 9/11/01.
Increased security and government working to ensure that it never happens again comes with a price.
There is never a day that I get up and think that if I choose to go somewhere that I would not be able to go where I want (except financially). There is never a day that I awaken that I am afraid to pray or go to work in a Christian Church. There is never a day that I awaken that I am afraid of being stopped and taken away for questioning. There is never a day that I awaken to fear that my villiage is going to be overrun by tanks or bombs.
For most of us living in central PA, we are living a very sheltered and safe world. The challange with that is that we can so become focused on the changes that challange us rather that the why of what is. Sitting with a wonderful young woman who is working on her master's degree in Europe found herself among classmates who have a very different story. One whose neighborhood was totally bombed and she became a refugee in another country. One who watched as many neighbors in her community began to disappear, later to find that they left for Canada or other parts of the world because of fear of living in their own land. For our friend, her story was that she grew up in central PA--safe, free, sheltered!
Rather than living in fear, I choose to live in my freedoms. This Wednesday, I encourage all of you and me alike to wake up and pray for this great nation. Do we have problems as a nation--you betcha!
But what we do have is something that I am not willing to give up. We are so blessed--often blessed to the point of complaining about things that we do not fully understand. It is not easy to be the United States of America, but for those of faith, we should not and cannot allow ourselves to forget that if we are nation under God, then it is our obligation to speak that, live that, and be the example to others. If God is leaving this great land, it is not Government making it happen. It is the complacency of Godly people forgetting the greatest commandment "LOVE."
God bless all of you, God bless the USA, God bless the world that God created!

Getting away, but still working!
Well, you may have thought I fell off the blogging earth, and I would argue that I in fact did just that.
Camp Sequanota--Confirmation Camp--12 youth--me--other Allegheny Synod congregations--one Southwest Penn Synod Congregation--Camp staff--bugs, aw yes, lots and lots of bugs--the biting variety!
Leaving Duncansville on Father's Day afternoon, we made our way to Johnstown for a Chinese lunch that would include the giggle laden poo poo platter. Bellies filled, we loaded up and headed the rest of the way to Jennerstown, Pennsylvania and made our way to the gates of Sequanota, translated "land of many waters." Living up to it's name, the next 2 1/2 days we observed many rains, including Rebecca (daughter/counselor) making emergency repelling from the zip line a reality. With everyone safe, times of worship were either held in the camp dining hall or with wet butts on rain soaked benches and then the heat moved in.
Sequanota nestled in the middle of the mountains of southern Pennsylvania promises to get you away from "the world" many of us have become accustomed too. NO WIFI and NO wireless connection meant for those without the fancy phones, a week without being connected.
What I discovered about myself in the midst of the week was that I needed it. I needed to be away from the busyness of stuff including web posting. For me as a leader, I am very good at scheduling stuff, but not great at scheduling time away. I love my people and want to be there for all, but what about me? If anything, what I realized most about being at camp, was how little time I take for myself often leaving vacation time and days off to slip away into an unknown abyss.
What about you? Are you too busy? Is it possible that we think we are too important to get away? or, is it possible that we are afraid that if we walk away for a time, we will no longer be needed. I don't know about you, but my insecurities often impact my ability to walk away.
In just a few days, Evangelical Duncansville and I will celebrate 9 years together. While it doesn't seem possible, I'm beginning to think that the wonderful folk I am called to serve, might be willing to let me get away for a time of renewal. Of course at this point, my calendar is fully booked until sometime in September and I'm not sure how to make it happen.
Jesus knew that time away was important--I hope you and I can both learn such a valuable lesson from the one who knows the concept of 'Sabbath' better than we often do!

When busyness gets in the way!
Well, most of you know that I have been eating in a more healthy way in order to be a healthier leader. Unfortunately this past week, things or should I say that I got out of control. Since September I had done so well to remain focused on 35 grams of fiber, my designated calories per day, the correct amount of fat, protein, etc. With the Allegheny Synod Assembly, a wedding, Sunday morning and construction issues pushed me into too many hours of work and I simply blew it. I tossed caution to the wind and ate what I wanted. Dang!
Let's just say, I have been in the same place so many times over history that I really thought this would be the trigger to send me spiraling into the abyss of eating out of control. The difference is that today, I awoke with a plan to drive to the store and purchase the high fiber fruits and vegetables and other items needed to get back on track, and I have.
Please pray for me in the days ahead so that I can remain focused on the long range goals of continued weight loss and becoming that healthy leader for the sake of the Gospel.
Food is my addiction issue--what is yours?
I'll be praying that God will help you with whatever you struggle with. Let us all get our heads together for the sake of the Gospel. God has blessed us so much and is worth us doing what is needed for God's love to be shared with the world.
Blessings in the name of Christ,
Pr. Jaime

One God--Three Persons
Sunday, June 3, 2012 is Trinity Sunday in the annual progression of the church year. One God who comes to us in three persons shows us God's ability to meet us where we are. We need a creator--we need to know that there is someone greater than us who really does make sense of what can be overwhelming to figure out. We need a human--we need to meet this God in a tangible form that is subject to the same things that we experience in our wonderful, joyful, painful, dirty lives. We need to feel a part of something--so, God comes to us in spirit, to live with us, push us forward, dwell with us in our best and worst moments.
The scriptures tell us to worship this God, with all our hearts, our spirits, our minds. Join us at DELC on Sunday, June 3rd at 8 AM, 9:15 AM, or 10:30 AM to hear more about this God who knows what we need even before we ask!
Blessings in the name of the Father, +the Son, and the Holy Spirit...

Emotions run high
Today, the day of Pentecost--Memorial Weekend--Graduate recognition--Confirmation--Death of a faithful woman of God, leave emotions running high!
Wow--do I need to say more?
The power of God's Spirit drives us into the challanges along with the joys of life. After a great Saturday feeding many at the Brian Morden Foundation Ride/Run/Fun at Fort Roberdeaux, Sunday came to it's fullness in all this weekend means for so many.
Remembering those who have forged the way for our freedoms is never easy and I encouraged my flock to remind God of the promises that are made for a future of peace.
I have had the great privilege of watching a young boy turn into a man as he prepares to graduate high school and enter into his college years.
The joy of presiding over the confirmation of a very special young woman whose knowlege of scripture and her understanding of the church is far greater than many.
Leaving worship to offer commendation of the dying to an aged woman ready to enter into God's presence, followed by receiving word that a young mother of three (not from DELC) has lost her valiant efforts in her battle of cancer.
May God bless you all when you find yourself riding an emotional roller coaster!

Another amazing week hearing the best of preaching
As I sit with my eyes focused on the 100s of planes making their assent into the unknown destinations called home or next meeting or for the person heading out to their conference, I think about this week.
This week was marked with preaching that lifted the soul and challenged the spirit. I am reminded as to why I continue in this thing called ministry when the need for Christian churches continues to decline, but the need for a relationship with the living Son of God is more than ever vital for those who dance their lives around us and at the unknown corners of the world.
I was reminded this week once again that everyone does in fact have a place of affection in God's eyes, otherwise, God would not continually change God's mind over the Centuries otherwise affording us the damnation we deserve. Coming back to you my flock and to those who read my blog out there in the world of data extrapolation and transfer, please do not expect me to be unchanged by the 'Festival of Homiletics' because I am.
My love for you the people I serve is unchanged and my desire to continue to make DELC one of the finest centers for ministry in Blair County ever present. Together through the power of God's Spirit leading us, we will weather the storms of change and rise from the flood waters of baptism and the meal of redemption to lead a people into the dawn of a new day in God's kingdom. We will not worry about the unknowns of tomorrow, but rather work for the greater good each day that is granted to us.
God bless you in all that we are called to do in this life and I look forward to seeing you at worship on Sunday....

Connected without technology!
We hear much about being connected today. Surely with all of the technology available, there is no excuse for not staying connected. However, it is important to remember that not everyone is as connected as you or I. Staying connected in the world of technology can be a challenge, especially for those without. There was a time when a card in the mail, a 'thank you' note, a phone call on a hard line, etc. was the norm, and while some still use such means, many do not.
Think about those who may not be connected. A parent, grand parent, the older neighbor next door, a co-worker, the person sitting next to you on Sunday. As a pastor, I am constantly reminded of such a reality and must continually seek ways to make sure everyone is included in what we are doing as a congregation.
Remember, it is prayer and the Word of God that keeps us connected to God through Jesus. It is Jesus relying on you and me to let the Gospel live out in the people we include in our lives through technology and all other means of staying connected. Who needs to hear from you today?

What a great day!
I must say that after doing research about the imagery of the 'Good Shepherd' and the 23rd Psalm, today was an absolute amazing day to share the Gospel. (If you want to know more, you can go to duncansvillelutheran.com and watch the sermon from our 'encounter' worship.) The love and care that Jesus the Good Shepherd has for his people is overwhelming to think about at best. What I have learned most of all is that sometimes there is no thinking about it all. It is truly a blessing to simply be held in the love of God through Christ Jesus without having to overly think about it.
In your life, I'm sure you (like I) have thought alot about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. You may have possibly thought about whether or not it is all real too--after all it is part of questioning our faith in order to grow in our faith. Don't be ashamed of your questioning or be concerned about things when you doubt or when things go awry you even become angry with God. Remember that God will always love you. God will always be part of your life. Finally, God will always wait for you if you run away.
I'm not going to tell you chapter and verse, but in the Gospels which consist of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, you will find the story of the Good Shepherd. Read about how much our Good Shepherd, Jesus cares for you!
Blessing to you in this new week!

Keeping the vision
When God reveals a vision for ministry, worldly standards and the human condition can often collide with what God has in store for God's people. As a leader, I often find myself in the position of communicating a vision with full knowlege that there will always be those who question every move we make. Clearly my love of God and the people I am called to serve remains my highest priority and focus, and because of that, I am called to push forward beyond the issues that arise that seek to deflate all that we are doing. It is also important for me to remember that as much as I am to live the vision, I should not get in the way of it.
In your life, God has a plan and vision for all that you are doing. Do you take the time to listen or to seek what God has in store for you? Are you willing to accept the vision and purpose that God has for you and be willing to move through all of the obstacles that seek to interfere with them?
My prayer for you is that you seek ways in which to listen to what God wants from you and that you will seek ways to effectively follow through with the vision. Keep your focus on the one who grants the vision and live the vision to see it through to completion. There you will find the blessing of the vision revealed.

Back in the groove
Thanks be to God, I have returned to the office filled with hope and somewhat rested, but most assuredly with a better frame of mind. Of course back in the office means catching up with things along with pushing ever closer for construction to begin in the new 'Family Life Center' slated for completion by Labor Day weekend. It is exciting to see all of the possibilities, yet marked with the reality that doing any type of construction today is time consuming and very costly. Renovations to a public facility are marked with all kinds of regulations to ensure quality, safety, and sometimes a little over the board guidelines that do not always make sense. What we continue to learn though is the consistent and not always consistent reality that 'it is what it is' and so we conform.
Conforming to the changes that come our way are not always to accept. We also need to be careful that conforming to circumstances beyond our control does not lead us down the pathway to complacency. Jesus conformed to the standards of this world by wrapping his God self in human flesh to dwell among us and yet he stayed true to the standards by which he was called to serve. It surely was not easy for Jesus to accept his fate, but to do so, meant that you and I would have the promise of eternal life.
Do not give up on your dreams even when you must conform to standards that need to be met to achieve them, but do not stop being what God has called you to be in this world. A child of God comes with expectations to do your very best. Sounds like the ministry that continually evolves at Evangelical. Improving our space conforming to worldly standards in order to continue sharing the story and living the Gospel. What a blessing the 'Family Life Center' will be for ministry to our children, youth and families. Thanks be to God!

Vaca will soon be over!
With vacation soon coming to an end, I hope that I have taken the necessary steps to be fully prepared to return to the job I love.
I dare say going into vacation my need to get away was becoming pretty obvious. What I have learned best about myself and this thing called being a pastor, is that self care is often hard to plan for and even harder to see realized.
As much as I would have loved to escape for a few days, fiscal responsibility was a calling to dig in at home. Dig in we did. Except for a couple of outings, this past week has been marked by doing very little except 'veg' out.
I hope that each one of you can find the time to take some time to veg out in order to make your way back into the world fully rested and ready for the unknowns of tomorrow.
It's simple, I pray for you, please pray for me, find rest where we can and let's do what we are called to do as the little christs of the world!

Resurrection people
This week we celebrate a new reality. People who believe in the resurrection of our Lord gathered here and around the world to celebrate the new life that is promised through the life, death and ressurection of Jesus the Christ. Christianity crosses the lines of skin color, political party, financial status, etc. Just as other religions can claim the same, for you and me, we believe that one man came here so that we can have life and have it abundantly.
Abundance and resurrection go hand in hand.....live the life that is granted you.....live as a 'Resurrection People!'

Many will be late for worship
Many will be late for Easter worship....simply stated, worship began on Thursday at 7 PM....worship continued this evening at 7 PM and on Sunday morning at 7 AM and 10 AM worship will conclude. Two-thirds of the story of salvation now complete with the final worship to see the fullness of the three days revealed.
The "Triduum" is the technical churchy word for The Three Days that begins our worship with the Thursday portion of the worship that commemorates the Last Supper held by Jesus with the Disciples during the Jewish Passover celebration held on the day before his death. Good Friday's portion of the worship commemorates the death of Jesus on the cross and his burial in the garden tomb. Finally, on Easter morning, we gather to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and the everlasting life that comes as God's gracious gift to us.
So when I say that some will be late for worship on Easter, it's true. Either way, the story is the same, the act of selfless love complete and the joy of salvation realized. May you all have a blessed and joy filled Easter.

What if Jesus had "Avoidance" issues?
Who do you know that is a flight risk? Is it you?
When I say flight risk, I mean the individual that avoids an issue either by not talking about it or by picking up and leaving altogether. For anyone that leans toward avoidance, they would rather jump in the car and drive, jump on a plane and travel, or do anything else than to sit down and really deal with the issues at hand. Sometimes this is learned behavior, sometimes the individual has figured it out on their own. Some people move from one city to the next, others, one neighborhood to the next. Some will stay in their own home and avoid the issues at hand by digging in.
No matter what form of avoidance you may prefer, the issues that are driving such avoidance will not go away until they are dealt with. No matter how far you run, the issues of your life will travel with you and haunt you until they are resolved.
What if Jesus chose the path of avoidance? The disciples certainly pushed for it! Avoidance for Jesus would have meant that he would have never faced the city walls of Jerusalem. Avoidance for Jesus would have meant that he never sat down at an uncomfortable dinner with his betrayer. Avoidance for Jesus would have meant that he would have slipped away from the garden before the soldiers would have come to arrest him. Avoidance for Jesus would have meant him calling upon his holy angels to protect him from the beatings and humiliation and the pain of his death.
Why are you practicing avoidance? Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice so that you and I could have life and have it more abundantly. When we avoid dealing with issues, we choose to allow evil to have its way with us and then all that Jesus has done begins to fade away in our lives.
If you wish to practice avoidance, avoid the devil and all of his empty promises. Choose the path of acceptance of the things that come your way and choose to deal with them.
In the long run, all that Jesus chose not to avoid leads to the promise of new life. Imagine what can unfold for you if you choose to deal with all that life has dealt you--you may even call it a new life/living experience.

Another week is history!
History is a strange phenomenon. Depending on who you ask, one particular time in history may be viewed as better or worse depending on who it is you are talking to. This week, I realized that each week that passes is marked as 'HISTORY' with some weeks considered better, worse, etc. With the passing of this week, I once again realized that the worst of weeks seems to travel among different people on different schedules, the same as the best of weeks. I also realize that some are more resilient to the negative effects of the worst, while others are pushed to the edge questioning why me, I don't deserve this, what did I do wrong, etc?
Yesterday as I sat for quite a while waiting for my Easter hair cut, I had the chance to talk with an individual that has given up on God for now. Can't say that I blame him--his very young son is a patient at Children's Hospital with Down's Syndrome and congenital heart disease. I assured the guy that God hasn't gone anywhere and that it's quite alright to be angry--even with God. I gave him permission to scream and yell at God because God is big enough and understands enough the love of a parent, especially when something like this comes along.
Others too are having a bad week while others are having a great week. For you and me if we have faith in something beyond us, I truly believe that our history is written by our ability to let go and let God in the midst of whatever comes our way. There is joy in the midst of sorrow--ask anyone who has had that special person hold them and give them total non-judgmental permission to cry until there are no tears left. There is often laughter among the tears--just think about the stories that we tell whenever we have lost a loved one the smiles that help us through. There are new opportunities beyond the loss of a job--just talk with those who clearly say, I thought I'd never find the right fit, but I am so happy now (me as an example)!
You know--I also realized this week, that we have many opportunities to help write our history in some very good ways. Taking the time to listen--getting the proper rest and nutrition--surrounding ourselves around those who build up instead of dwelling on those who seek to tear down. How is your history working out this week? What can you do to help change history?

Amazing day in the Lord
Well all,
I just want to thank God for one of the most amazing days in the life of DELC....
Worship today was well attended, everyone was working together for the greater good, new folks welcomed fully, youth sang wonderfully, and Jesus came to us in Word and Sacrament....doesn't get any better. Letting go and letting God is certainly a learning curve for all of us. Recognizing the intrinsic value of every human being is helpful when preaching grace and finding ways to build up and support those who are struggling and celebrating life is a blessing beyond blessing....
God in heaven, please continue to bless who we are and never let us forget whose we are!
It's all about you--God!
Peace and blessings for the best week ever....

Property development updates...
Well, today was marked with meeting several prospective contractors who will be bidding on our new Family Life Center which is expected to be completed by Labor Day Weekend in September. It was exciting to see the positive feed back from many in attendance over our plans to create and newly renovated space designed for youth and family ministry.
The icing on the cake (if you will) is the possibility that our project could be featured in an architects magazine regarding the redefining of sacred spaces to meet the needs of ministry in the 21st Century...along with how best to integrate new into the space while respecting the old....
Hopefully the community will continue to see that our goals for ministry at DELC are done to ensure the very best for those who enter our doors, but to also provide for longevity and a future in a climate of church demise.
My comment to one of the contractors was simply "I know that this is a job that you are bidding on, like any other. But, if you get the job, you will be working for God--because what we do here is about God!"
Blessing for a great weekend!

I think I'm tired...
Hi all,
Do you ever get tired? I'm pretty sure what I have isn't depression--cause I've gotten that tee shirt and pretty aware of the signs. I'm not sick--at least no one is telling me that I'm sick! So, I think I'm tired....I think I need a time of renewal and refreshment. It seems that with Spring busting into the song of colorful blooms, their time of rest has done them well. I'm wondering if I would blossom better for the kingdom of God if I took time to lie in a dormant state for a little while in order to experience a rapid boost of energy for the work I'm called to do.
I know that there are many decisions that are made that will please some and challenge others. I know that me trying to be creative and inspiring for weeks on end takes time and energy. So what am I afraid of? Am I afraid that if I take time to take a break, I will no longer be needed? If I walk away for a time of renewal, will God pull a fast one and challenge me more? What am I afraid of?
Easter is coming and then the end of Rebecca's semester, I'm thinking it's time to look at the possibilities of spending time with the family before the busyness of summer moves into full swing and we've missed another one together.
Any ideas?
I hope you find time to rest...

Blessings found in the next generation!
As a pastor, I often find myself trying to help families struggle in the raising up of the next generation along with doing my best to journey along with the youth that are doing their best to become that next generation. It is not easy to be a parent, and it is not easy to grow into adulthood with all the expectations that are placed on our youth.
Oftentimes as a parent, we are so challenged by the big picture part of growing up that we set that aside and focus of things we really think we can control, like "clean your room," "take out the dog," "change your clothes," "take a shower," etc. all the while the youth are trying to figure out who they are in the world, what they want to become when they grow up, should they do the drugs that are offered, have sex with someone so they will love them, etc.
In an ideal world, your children and your home would be picture perfect and your teen would do everything that is expected. In reality, we as parents (not an easy learn for me) is to choose our battles wisely. Just as your child does not know everything that is going on in your life as a parent, you should not believe that you know exactly what your child is going through either.
Listening is key to allowing your youth the freedom to speak...your willingness to accept and love your child in spite of a messed up room or other infraction of the perfect world is vital to a good relationship with your teen. No battle on the home front should ever get to the point that you do not say the words "I love you!" In listening to stories of families gone awry, often the overarching theme is that the next generation questioned whether they were love and more importantly if they were wanted.
Please take the time to LOVE your family to the fullest this day--doesn't mean you let 'em walk all over you. Sometimes to love is to say NO.
As a parent, I thank God every day for the daughter that was given to us as a family. She has learned how to live, love, and thrive in a very complex and challenging world.
Blessings to all

Today we can really begin to feel that Spring is quickly making its way into our lives. The birds are making joyous song and the ground is pushing the first blooms of spring into full color. Some of you will be able to fully enjoy this day while others are struggling. The darkness of your moment casts a shadow of all the light that is dancing around you.
Jesus' purpose in coming was to bring light into darkness. It is my sincere prayer that you will be so surrounded by the light of Christ that the darkness will be but a memory.
Blessings to you always!

Blessings all!
Well, I haven't been around for a couple days--quite literally.
With Rebecca home for Spring Break--we left town for a day and half in the metro DC area.
Great to visit with clergy friend and spouse and great to spend an absolutely beautiful day moving from the changing of the guard at Arlington, many museums and memorials, great food and back safely to the hills of Pennsylvania.
While I've been to DC on many occasions, the new things for me were of course the MLK memorial that is an amazing statue rising from the stones, carved in amazing detail. The simplicity of Ted Kennedy's grave much the same as Bobby Ks. and the overwhelming number of Vietnam tourist walking reverently through the Vietnam Memorial.
As a person of faith, I had an amazing conversation with someone that is trying to figure out what God means to them. As I was told, "I just don't want to get it wrong!"
For me--I am so thankful that I can get it so wrong and God still graciously holds me in the fold.
If you have ever wondered if you have gotten it wrong, pray, ponder, and then accept the wonderful gift that comes to us through Jesus--no regrets on my end!
Peace

It's late Saturday the 10th....clocks have been pushed forward....I wonder whoever came up with this idea thought of the implications of a choice that leads to making a pastor that has already put in a full week who now must get up an hour earlier and still be able to communicate the Gospel in a way that speaks to God's people?
Well, I dare say I'm already tired and so I'm going to keep this simple....Lord....tomorrow is your day....I hope you have something inspiring to say....because right now, I'm going to bed!
Love the Lord with all your heart!

A member family's daughter is standing in line at a local grocery store checking out while an older gentleman is struggling to come up with enough money to pay for his groceries. After observing the man trying to figure out what to put back, the daughter made her way up the line and paid the balance. The man said he couldn't take the help--she assured him it was alright. "There are still good people in the world!"
A woman struggles with all the loss after the Tornadoes in the mid West. Everything she owned is gone. Standing around the volunteers and all the supplies being brought in to help. "There is still good in the world."
We often find ourselves questioning whether or not there is still good or good people in the world. The political climate has people frustrated, but worse from my perspective is the choice many make in degrading other human beings because they do not agree with another person's view point. Some want their neighborhoods to stay the same, others want a family life that could just get along. No matter what is going on in our lives, it is important to remember that:
1) God is still the God of creation who loves what has been created.
2) There are still good people in the world affecting change where and when they are able.
3) As a Christian living in the 21st Century, we must continue to set the example of love that comes to us from Jesus. His Words and example of love most surely will change the world with lasting impact--you can even say--eternal impact.
Blessings this day!

Someone is checking out the blog
Well, Good Morning
Thus far, 32 people have viewed the blog.
I'm sure I am among the number as I was checking out to see if I managed to post ok.
However, blogging seems to be pretty straight forward and I'm pretty sure that if Jesus was among us today (in human form,) he would use every opportunity and venue to get the WORD out.
In Matthew 28:20, Jesus says "I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Jesus' love you this day is a love that is with you even if today is the most challenging day of your life. Jesus is with you when you have been hurt by other. Jesus is with you in your losses. Jesus is with you in your diagnosis. Jesus is with you in your joy and celebration. Jesus with with you when you fall in love.
Today, Jesus will be with you. I know there are times we want Jesus to give us the answer or results that we want or expect. Oh how many times I have wanted what I want. What I have learned over time is that NO, Jesus doesn't want us to be hurt or to experience bad things, but Jesus will journey with us and if we are open to the help, he will surround us with the right people to make a new beginning, new relationship, more joys, etc. to be realized. Jesus never gives up on us! Jesus will never leave us alone in the journey.
May God richly bless you with his presence this day and always!
